Is There a Pathway for Lebanon-Israel Peace?
A keynote conversation with Lebanese Member of Parliament Fouad Makhzoumi, followed by a panel discussion with Hanin Ghaddar and Eran Lerman. Watch live starting at 12:00 noon EST (1700 GMT) on Thursday, November 6, 202.
For the first time in decades, newspapers, talk shows, and cafes across Lebanon are buzzing with talk about the possibility of peace with Israel. But the obstacles are daunting, including the far-from-complete task of disarming the still-potent Hezbollah, Iran’s foremost regional proxy.
To mark the publication of its new report “A Roadmap for Israel-Lebanon Peace,” The Washington Institute is pleased to announce a special Policy Forum consisting of two separate, sequential video conversations: the first a keynote discussion with Lebanese member of parliament Fouad Makhzoumi, followed by a panel discussion with Hanin Ghaddar and Eran Lerman, all moderated by Segal Executive Director Robert Satloff.
Watch a live webcast of this event starting at 12:00 noon EST (1700 GMT) on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Keynote Speaker
Fouad Makhzoumi has served since 2018 as an elected member of the Lebanese parliament, representing Beirut’s second district. He is the CEO and executive chairman of Future Pipe Industries, a major conglomerate operating on four continents.
