Terry Lee, a colonel in the U.S. Army with over twenty-three years of service, is a visiting military fellow at The Washington Institute. Among his numerous leadership positions at every level of army command and staff, he most recently served as assistant deputy director for operations at the Joint Chiefs of Staff's National Military Command Center. Col. Lee is a combat veteran of the first Gulf War in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, during which he received the Bronze Star.
Col. Lee's assignment history includes tours of duty in Korea and Germany as well as assignments to Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Fort Meade, Maryland; Fort Stewart, Georgia; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Fort Hood, Texas; and the Pentagon.
Terry and his wife, Angel, have two children.
