Lynne Caroe, an Army senior fellow and civilian employee of the Department of the Army, is a visiting military fellow at The Washington Institute. While at the Institute, she will use experience and knowledge developed during her recent one-year deployment in Iraq. Prior to and following that deployment, she served as director of enterprise integration for financial management information systems at Department of the Army headquarters.
Ms. Caroe is a native of Westchester County, New York, and joined the Army as a presidential management intern in 1984. Her past positions include service as a civil-military advisor in an embedded Provincial Reconstruction Team in Fallujah, Taji, and Baqubah, Iraq and numerous financial, budgetary, and comptroller positions within the Department of Defense and the Army. She is a former college history instructor, university off-campus program manager, and U.S. Marine.
