Khairuldeen Makhzoomi is a geopolitical analyst specializing in Iraqi politics, armed groups, and political economy in the Middle East. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and Middle Eastern languages and cultures from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in contemporary Arab studies from Georgetown University, where he also received a certificate in diplomatic studies (G/CDS) from the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. His work has appeared in HuffPost, Arab Weekly, Gulf International Forum, and Middle East Eye. Makhzoomi is a contributor to The Washington Institute's Fikra Forum and Al Majalla magazine.
