Kasra Aarabi is director of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) research at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI). He specializes in Iranian military and security affairs and Shia extremism. Previously, he was the Iran Program lead at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and served as an advisor on Iran to the executive chairman, former British prime minister Sir Tony Blair. He was also a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington D.C.
He has testified on Iran before multiple parliaments and provided counsel to governments, policymakers, and non-governmental organizations, and is a frequent contributor to international media.
Kasra is a native Persian (Farsi) speaker and holds an MA (Hons) in international relations and a BA in international politics, both from King’s College London. He is also undertaking a PhD at the University of St Andrews, where his research focuses on the IRGC.
