Ilham Shahbari

Dr. Ilham Shahbari is a Neubauer research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). Her current research investigates the relationship between the Jewish majority and the Arab minority in Israel, including community resilience. In her most recent position, Dr. Shahbari worked as an Associate Lecturer in the Middle East and Terrorism at Salford University, UK. Before that, she served as a parliamentarian assistant to the late Member of Knesset Nadia Hilou (Israeli Labor Party) and Media Consultant to  a former Jerusalem mayoral candidate, Arkady Gaydamak, before joining the Israeli Ministry of Economy, where she held several positions, most recently as Senior Project Manager for promoting foreign investments.
