Ahdeya Al Sayed is the former President of the Bahrain Journalists Association, where she became the first women to be elected to chair the association since its establishment in 2000. She was awarded the 2019 Female Arab Journalist of the year award by the London Arabia Organisation. Ahdeya also worked as media advisor for Bahrain's government. She joined a Bahraini local newspaper as a journalist and Bahrain Television as a political TV shows host in 1991.
