Scott Vickery

Scott A. Vickery, a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, was a visiting military fellow at The Washington Institute in 2014-15.

Colonel Vickery entered the Air Force in 1996 after receiving his commission as a distinguished graduate from Louisiana State University's ROTC program. A career intelligence officer, he has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, group, major command, and combatant command level.  He is former commander of the 26th Operations Support Squadron and has served overseas tours in Germany, England, and Qatar as well as five deployments in the Balkans and Southwest Asia. Most recently, he was deputy chief of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance at the 609th Air Operations Center at al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
